WIP - Sherlock Holmes meets Miss Moneypenny

I did not have much time to sew this week, but all the same I made a little progress with my project. I sewed the sleeves together and inserted them to the bodice. However, I missed to take a picture of that step. I cutted some sleeve heads out of wadding interfacing and attached them to the sleeve-seam:

I still have to buy fusible interfacing for the jacket, so no further progress there. I cut out the lining I bought last Saturday and sewed the lining for the skirt and inserted it. That was really easy. I especially like the closure. It looks very professional with the lining and a little vintage since it will be finished with 4 buttons ( which I also still have to select..).

I really love the colour of the lining, a really bright rasperry pink. I hope I can find a jersey with that colour for a nice shirt to complete this combination...

I really hope that I will be able to finish the Sherlock-Moneypenny by this weekend. Except one final step - what this means I am going to tell you as soon as I have received a mysterious order.....so, be curious.

Diese Woche habe ich noch nicht viel Zeit zum Nähen gehabt, aber ein wenig bin ich doch voran gekommen. Ich habe die Ärmel genäht und eingesetzt. Von diesem Schritt habe ich kein Foto gemacht, Details der Ärmel folgen also nach Fertigstellung.
Ich habe sogenannte "Ärmelfische" aus wattierter Einlage zugeschnitten und an die Ärmelnaht genäht, das gibt dem Ärmel besseren Fall.
Um die Jacke zu vollenden, brauche ich nun wirklich mal mehr Gewebeeinlage, das wird mir wohl heute einen Besuch im Stoffgeschäft bescheren:-), daher an der Jacke kein weitere Fortschritt.
Das Futter, dass ich am Samstag gekauft habe, ist nun zugeschnitten und , was den Rock angeht zusammen - und auch an den Oberstoff genäht. Das war recht einfach, besonders gut gefällt mir die Verschlusslösung des Rocks, eine Knopfleiste mit Untertritt, hat so ein bißchen was von Vintage, finde ich.
Die Farbe vom Futter ist einfach toll, ein richtig knalliges himbeerrosa; vielleicht finde ich ja einen Jersey in der gleichen Farbe für ein passendes Shirt...
Ich hoffe, dass ich am Wochenende die Kombination fertig bekommen werde, das Wetter soll ja leider wieder etwas schlechter werden.
Ein letzter Schritt steht allerdings noch aus, hierfür warte ich noch auf eine geheimnisvolle Lieferung....also, schaut immer mal wieder herein....
